Welcome to my instant spot!

Just wanted to give some of my background, I am from South Central, Ky. I was raised in Monticello and grew up near Lake Cumberland, a tourist attraction for many in Ohio.

I attended WKU, math major economics minor, and during the entire time worked at several grocery stores (Save-a-lot, Piggly Wiggly, IGA, Houches). During my Junior and Senior years I was actually a store manager for 2 different Houchens' stores.

I started working for the Kroger Co. in late 06 and after 2 years as co-manager I was basically drafted to start installing the new IBM POS system for the 100 stores in the Mid South marketing area (Indiana, Illinois, Kentucy). That lasted for over a year and when it was completed I was asked to help with the first 6 Kroger stores to start the Kroger Plus Loyalty program. I then went on to be the Y2K coordinator for 9 months and transitioned into web development in early 2000.

Originally our environment was NetDynamics Application server and Informix database. NetDynamics was bought and then transformed into I-Planet and then after that who knows.

In late 2001 we made a decision to go with Coldfusion and SQL Server as our new development environment and I have been working with Coldfusion since 4.0.

I really enjoy what is coming next and I will be listing the research I do each day on the blog portion of this web site. I am doing it to practice my writing skills and to create a dairy of any research I do for the day.
